American Legion Post 177’s Dedication of The New Veterans Plaza on The Canfield North Green

American Legion Post 177 will host a formal dedication of the recently constructed Veterans Plaza on the North Green in Canfield.

On November 11, 2022, at 1:00PM, American Legion Post 177 will host a formal dedication of the recently constructed Veterans Plaza on the North Green in Canfield.

The ceremony will be held at the Plaza. Handicapped parking will be available at the small, paved lot between the Post Office and the County Court. General public will be able to park at the former Nemenz IGA south of the Post Office. Chairs will be available for those who might not wish to stand during this brief ceremony. We will have a large tent erected to offer protection in case of inclement weather.

Many canfield area residents and businesses contributed to this significant community supported project. There are a few remaining items needed to complete the plaza, including three (3) polished black granite monuments on which the names of significant contributors to the project will be engraved. We expect to have those monuments by Memorial Day 2023.

We will have light refreshments after the program at the Lane Family Center, 45 N. Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio.
