POWERS AND DUTIES OF MANAGER

The Manager shall be the chief executive, administrative, and law enforcement officer of the Municipality and shall be responsible to the Council for the administration of all municipal affairs placed in the charge of the Manager by or under this Charter, the ordinances of the Municipality and state laws.”

Wade received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Business from Youngstown State University in 2005, and later earned his Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Wade joined the City of Canfield in January 2018, after working at various positions for municipalities in Texas.

Wade began his municipal career working for the City of Fort Worth, Texas in the Library system; Wade earned his Master’s Degree in 2011 while working for the City of Fort Worth Water Department, along with a Graduate Certificate in Public Budgeting and Financial Management. He then spent three years working for the City of Hudson Oaks, Texas. After spending three years in the private sector working in finance for a global medical company, Wade returned to public service as the City Administrator of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas prior to coming to the City of Canfield.

Wade is energized and excited to be in Canfield and is dedicated to providing residents with exceptional municipal services in order to enhance the quality of life for all citizens.
