The City of Canfield Finance Department is responsible for the administration of all the financial activities of the City. The Finance Director is the fiscal officer of the Municipality and is accountable for dispersing and being the custodian of City funds and monies.
The Finance Department also prepares the annual budget for the City of Canfield and provides for the accounting and reporting of all financial matters of the City.
POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE.
The Director of Finance shall prepare annual financial and other reports required by law and shall make periodic reports concerning appropriations, encumbrances and expenditures of the departments, divisions, boards and commissions as may be required by the Council or the Manager, and shall submit to the Council and the Manager, and make available to the public, a complete report on the finances of the Municipality as of the end of each fiscal year.
